Q: How to fix a javascript:void(0) error in Internet Explorer

A:

There are few who encountered this kind of error message in their Internet Explorer browser. This issue is related to your JavaScript settings in your browser. To make it short, the browser is not showing the webpage because it needs the JavaScript enabled or allowed. There are few websites that requires JavaScript to view the whole page.

Quick fixes would be disabling any plugin or add-on in your Internet Explorer that is blocking the JavaScript. If you are having hard time looking for the configuration, you may reset Internet Explorer settings. If you do not know how to reset, here are the steps:

  1. For Windows XP, go to Start Menu, go to Control Panel, go to Network and Internet Connections, and then go to Internet Options.
For Windows Vista and Windows 7, go to Start Menu, go to Control Panel, go to Network and Internet, and then go to Internet Options.
  2. Under Advanced tab, click on Reset button. See image below.
  3. Another confirmation window will show up. Put a check box if you want to delete your personal settings. By default, it is unchecked. Then click Reset button to proceed with the reset.
  4. Wait until the resetting process will be done. You will be able to know if it is done if the Close button is available.
  5. Open Internet Explorer.

If this issue will not be fixed, try reinstalling the browser or you need to try it on another browser. Remember, clearing your browsing history will not fix this issue. Just do not waste your time clearing your browsing history.
